Welcome to O Castro Art Village!
We are a creative centre that uses the vehicle of fine arts in combination with critical thinking, yogic practices, deep nature immersion, and sustainable gastronomy, to host and heal groups and individuals in search of a remedy for our 21st-century problems. We are transforming an abandoned Idyllic village, located in the wine-producing region of Ribeira Sacra into a multidisciplinary wellness facility open to local and international visitors.
We are happy to announce that after more than three years of hard work, we have finished our first phase of construction and we are finally opening our doors to the public! This accomplishment however is only Phase I of our long journey.
In Phase II (currently under development), we are determined to offer comfortable geodesic dome stay services to our esteemed visitors. And we move forward after that; on our way to turn O Castro into a self-sufficient, sustainable, refurbished village dedicated to creativity, philosophy, and the use of fine arts in wellbeing.
At Our Current Stage We Offer
Various Events and Activities: Organized by our team, by collaborating facilitators, or by third-party organizers these events and activities are mainly focused on Arts and Wellness.
A unique Event Space for Rent: We have a beautiful newly-finished building with a gorgeous panoramic view of the vineyards of Ribeira Sacra and the Miño river. Our facility is equipped with a full kitchen and bathroom. You can rent our event space and organize your own private events or activities.
Volunteer Opportunities: O Castro Art Village offers a work-for-stay Volunteer Program for individuals.
